Fuller Trump had no ideas, he just went too far

60 Minutes just did a report on this guy. Throws 102 mph. Hits HRs by the bushel. Was last year's Japan League MVP. 22 years old. And next year he is coming to MLB.

So, if this dude is pitching in the AL and bats as the DH...if he gets pulled in the 7th and the DH spot comes up in the 8th, can he still bat?

    :nope:

Use of the DH is forfeited if the pitcher is in the batting order to begin the game. He would be batting as a pitcher, and each subsequent pitcher would have to hit/be pinch hit for.

No manager would do that, he just wouldn't hit on his starts.

    :noted:

I think he could still hit on days he pitches. It would only backfire if he got pulled really early in the game. After, say, the 7th, the pitcher is probably only going to come to the plate once, and you could PH for the reliever if the reliever sucks at hitting.

That'd be like buying a gaming PC and using it for work.
