FB already insufferable. Fuck this thing we call life.
No it wasn't dickhead
To think, if we all moved away from this shitty state, this wouldn't burn near as much.
Some asshole by me is lighting off fireworks
Yeah, now I get to just REALLLLLLLLY root for the home team.
We sound like Cubs fans bitching about replay
Keep your foot on the bag. Or dive in with your hand.
Already hearing fireworks for a divisional series win.
Now we get another week of every asshole showing up to work in full kit cubs gear. Really another two to three weeks.
The Dodgers will take care of business.
This is their year, god dammit.
It would be a good time for your 1st correct sports opinion ever.
I have no faith in anyone left in this playoff field except for the Cubs.
So, as I've said here in the past, I put up $200 on Bovada on the Cubs to win game 7 last year.
After playing through last football season, hitting my deposit bonus and taking my initial $200 out, grinding profit on baseball and nearly losing it all on a bad streak and then quitting that, and playing college football this year, I am up $445.
Feel like maybe now is the time to drop some money and enjoy the ride.
That's a monster!
Or out of the country like I did so it hardly burns at all.
First time I saw this happen was to Tim Anderson at second base last season and I remember thinking "this is a bad byproduct of replay". Obviously you disagree but I think it's silly to dissect a replay frame by frame and see if a guy went off the bag a millimeter while the tag is being made.
Not to mention that while replay may be intended to get things right, it's only allowed to get right plays that are arbitrarily reviewable. So Baez hitting Weiters is allowed to be a missed call, this one isn't, even though both were involuntary acts.
Just saw the replay now, since I can't watch this crap live anymore without throwing shit. But I'd say a player sliding completely past a bag may be a worthwhile use of replay; this niggling horseshit is not.
Granted, when seeing people complain about it, I assumed it was a runner on third or a possible scoring play. But seeing that it was just a douche on first, it most definitely wouldn't have mattered against the GOLDEN BOYS IN BLUE.
What an abortion of a game.
Fuck off Nats
I think they mystique is officially over; they said on the news this morning there were 100 people outside Wrigley last night. Two years ago they had to shut down the whole neighborhood. Fuck the Cubs. Fucking pieces of shit.
Cubs fan at my work didn't know who Aaron Judge is.
Last year it was wall-to-wall breaking news coverage of Wrigleyville partying like it's 1908... for their NLDS win.
That was the birth of #thisiswhy
What are the odds for the Yanks/Dodgers/Astros?
It's akin to the city having blown a huge load last year and their refractory period is still in effect. It's really odd to me how little buzz there is about this year. I'll take it, though.
The problem I have is this idea that "this was never a part of a game, so it should stay that way". Players should adjust. Sliding in feet first in that situation is totally idiotic. Diving in with the hand leaves you with less area to tag and you won't come off.
The real controversy of this game is the batter interference. There's no reason that isn't reviewable.
Lay 100 on LAD as well.
You're up minimum of 115 if the NL wins the WS.
Come WS time, bet the Yanks at +275 for 100. You're up regardless of who wins. If Houston wins, then we can revisit.
Whats your line on the NLCS
How do you cash money out of Bovada?
Not offered yet.
Highly doubt the Yankees would be +275 in the WS if they win this series.
They mailed me a check. Had to go into the bank to cash it, ATM wouldn't except it because it had a Canadian address.
I don't like them at +150 all that much, but a small play on them tonight could be alright.
I should start betting again.
Composite Box Score, Cubs were outscored 20-17, outhit 30-27 and committed 2 more errors 7-5.
Made a Bovada account.
Bet NYY +600 ($30) to win it all.
Bet moneyline on Cubs (+180) and Yankees (+108) for today's games ($10 each)
Luck continues! Seager not on the Dodgers roster due to his back.
Wrong thread... I blame tapacrap and being seduced by all those oversized gifs.
Closing this fuckthread.
