Just missed a ball in BP. Wasn't paying attention, it hit above us on the Kraft Kave sign then bounced off our table.
All the beers of the Midwest locations are closed.
Just tuned in. 6-0.
You guys get your shirts at least?
Sycked just texted me that he already left
Highlight of the game was zmz's attempt to get a second shirt.
I came, I saw, had the Buona Beef, drank the Surly.
Robertson strikes out the side on 12 pitches. He must be looking pretty good to every contender without a closer right now.
Meanwhile, Davidson leads the team in HR despite only 68 ABs.
Me and sycked going in the same gate at the same exact time
Beers of the Midwest stands closed
Sycked leaving in the 2nd inning to go to Marias
Cheeses whipping out the glasses and ipad to google something
IWMB +1 asking how we knew each other and I quickly just said "Lots of mutual friends"
She was just being polite, she knows it's from here
What timing, just read this yesterday
Fuck off on that. My son has been to 6 games this year and hasn't bothered anybody.
In my defense, my phone was being a complete gay gentleman the whole game, so I could only get a decent signal on my iPad.
Were you on the park WiFi?
Has to be. With the upcoming settlement (2024), he surely can't afford a data plan on an iPad.
Next time you're there just sign into the WiFi and it'll be there every time you go.
Tim Anderson advancing to third on a fly out immediately after a batter sacrificed him over to second has got to be some of the dumbest White Sox baseball in a couple of years, and that's saying something.
Didn't know such a thing existed.
MLBAM installed WiFi at every ballpark 2 or 3 seasons ago. Free and works great.
You wanted him to stay at second? You think the batter hit a SF to LF on purpose?
Next time Cheeses goes to a game I'm going to text RISE ABOVE on him.
Yeah, not understanding the issue here.
What was a lot worse was Davidson getting thrown out at third base by 10 feet for the third out.
You probably are confusing the situation as I don't think you can get sac flies when you are making the second out.
To start the inning Anderson singled.
Narvaez bunt sacrificed Anderson second -- 1 out.
Garcia next hit a fly out to left -- Anderson riskily advanced to third with 2 outs and was pretty close to being thrown out. Top of the order was due up. No need to risk a 3rd out when you're already in scoring position and down by one.
No, you can't have a sac fly if the running doesn't score. It's just a fly out.
Yes.. Like I said. The sacrifice was the bunt not the sac fly to left field that didn't happen.

Can we all just talk about how much we hate Cheeses?
It was a gamble but he was safe. It would've been considered a worse decision if he'd been thrown out. Don't make the last out at 3rd and all that. But he did give himself the opportunity to score on a wild pitch/passed ball.
I've seen worse baseball decisions.
If you're going to be stupidly aggressive then do it with 0 outs and try to steal second so a (much more useful) bunt out puts him on 3rd with 1 out. Instead we got this mishmash of super conservative and super aggressive in back to back plays.
None of this matters because this team showed how capable they are at ineptitude by fucking up bases-loaded <=1 out at least twice in the past week.
In sports, a "bad" decision is always forgiven if it works. This is literally the only time I've ever seen somebody complain about such a thing without qualifying the complaint.
When I coach basketball, I tell the kids that nobody will criticize them if they take a good shot and miss, or take a bad shot and make it. It's only a problem if they take a bad shot and miss.
Nobody here is a fan of sac bunting guys from 1B to 2B with no outs, but Anderson's decision is completely independent from that.
"Hitting on 20 when the dealer is showing a 6 is only a bad idea when it doesn't work!"
"I like to complain about positive developments."
If you are a good 'bad shot' maker in the NBA like Steph Curry, Westbrook or Kobe Bryant, Dirk, Rose, MJ were in their prime, then it's fine to take traditionally bad shots. If you are Josh Smith chucking up 3's when you make 20% of them, then it's almost always a dumb shot even if it goes in.
That said, baseball is a different sport. Not many people have the speed to do what Anderson did. But it's clear Anderson does have the speed, so the gamble was worth it. Now if AJ or Konerko had tried that, it would've been a dumb move.
Also, who cares? Team sucks. Gamble all you want if it entertains me, just don't fuck your leg up or something.
I hit on 20 once with the dealer showing a 10, hit an Ace. Laughed at my buddy who was dealing, he called me a fucking rat (he also had 20)
Extremely dumb on my part, of course.
Sounds more like a positive development.
