That's one missed opportunity for wall-to-wall PARTY IN WRIGLEYVILLE coverage!
Irving Park Metra stop just now: a sea of getting off from the northern burbs.
Was just over there grabbing lunch.
What could've been.
Oh, wait -- checking out the new foodie mall that Mo keeps ing about today.
You'd think a bunch of northern suburb brahs would be too scared to get off at Irving Park
Nah, they only think the south side is scary.
Celebrations on the southside this year?
So, even if they lose tonight, they're still going to jump around on the field and spray champagne everywhere?
Chick in my office is going to the game today (wearing a super-tight tank top, but I digress). She's oddly confident that they won't do that. I told her to stick around just in case.
Ricketts family to spend $1M to back Trump's presidential bid, adviser says
That whole area by the metra and the expressway is littered with beer cans. I've had to direct many a confused Cub fan to the correct platform to get back to the suburbs after work and when I'm personally taking the metra at Irving Park.
Bunch of $10 all you can drink party buses and shit line up right at the stop every home game. Fucking asshole drivers just dump all of their trash on the side of the road.
Apparently Johnny Bench is playing his last home game tonight at Wrigley.
This next 4 weeks or whatever is only going to get worse. The Cubbie media circle jerk on Twitter is never ending.
Only fitting to the man they celebrated for breaking the all time homerun record.......oh wait that was his 100th homerun they celebrated like it was the all time record
Sox still have one 100-win season
There is going to be an 8000 square foot; 400 seat Big Star in the new hotel across from Wrigley. Holy doucheness.
Though, I do occasionally walk over to their walk up window at the Damen location.
Is that a real quote? Sounds like something out of The Onion.
Looks like it's a quote from Paul Kahan or his publicist.
He's the owner, and it looks like he knows his audience.
I can't wait to dream (about pre-CUBBIES tacos y tequilas)
Saw this nugget of posted on FB:
I used this one a couple weeks ago. It's a good one to pull out every now and again.
Like Father, Like Son. Like the Cubs? No Way!
what on earth is with the David Ross retirement lovefest? Guy has been on the Cubs for 2 seasons and posted terrible numbers
What do want from those losers? Same people who still idolize Ryan Theriot.
Then say, "you guys had a welcome back ceremony for Joe Crede"
To which I reply "That's WORLD CHAMPION Joe Crede to you"
Yeah, all bets are off once you got that ring. Cubs fans don't know wtf that means so act like f@ggots any chance they find
Mark DeRosa got like 4 standing ovations
The Carrie Wood goodbye
Plexiglassed home run ball. 'Nuf said.
I was at that game
Yeah, but that was a special HR from their Championship season
Wow. They say a tie is like fisting your kisser.
I bet Fuller intentionally gets into a lot of ties
That's the ultimate "who gives a fuck, meaningless game on the last getaway day of the year."
Tigers/Indians was canceled, and that game matters. Tribe may have to go back on Monday and waste pitchers on what should be a pre playoff rest day.
Indians will still have two days off so their bullpen would be good. If that game doesn't matter for them then I am just using a 40 man starter who won't be seeing any postseason action. Tigers are 1 back in the loss column so it will be an interesting weekend for sure.
"The Cubs are so likable"
Bryant in a Ditka jersey
That picture makes me feel physically ill
Fly the T!
I'm saving that for the playoffs.
