The statuses are starting to roll in via Youropenbook.
University of Pitt? Nice.
he's gone? Where did he go?
Glad to see Joe Pa is still the victim in all this.
Burn you fucker, burn.
Also, he's still alive according to the family spokesperson. Someone jumped the gun with the death tweets.
All some douchey motherfuckers rollin up in that U
To those who said America killed Joe Pa, I would agree that America is comparable to cancer (or any country inhabited by human beings for tht matter)
Damn, 11 posts in without an obligatory "excessive speed" comment? You guys are slackin'.
All of yall
If you dont like me
why would you fellate someone who aren't fond of?
to prove you aint gay
Kid told me I'm ignorant, or something:
Now you guys wanna run around talking about guns like Burgh ain't got one.
What, you think he sold 'em all?
Paterno? That guy's been dead since 1987.
I have a sad duck face as I make this heart symbol with my hands.
Really dead now.
A few people from this board on facebook seem to relish in taking The opportunity offered by a man's death to stump just a bit hyperbolically about the supposed soul devouring evil of said man.
Which, good for you, I guess
I think he's talking about me.
And Chae. Good on you for finally wakingus up to the truth that Joe Paterno is essentially the Unabomber, though
Lol. It was a stupid comparison but I'm of the mindset that if you do something awful in your life... Especially if it's for the length of time that he did.. It should outweigh the good. a lot of people refuse to accept what he did as bad and only look towards the fact that he won a lot of football games and was a good mentor for kids that played football for him.
That's well and good but damn 15 (that we know of) years of enabling your buddy to rape children is kind of a bigger deal to me then that.
And there you go using "enabling" again. Why not just call him an accessory to child rape and get it over with
I mean your status says, "do people usually mourn the death of child rape enablers????" that,s a pretty faggy question. Much along the lines of "do you still beat your wife?"
I don't feel like rehashing it again but in the past two weeks the amount of new details that have come out pretty much put him in enabling territory.
Man, broadcasters really have a bad effect on you.
Whatever... I honestly don't care in the end. He didnt affect me at all. People are able to remember him in whatever light they want.
I personally will remember a lot of the horrible things he allowed to happen. If you want to discount those things or think all the good he did in his life is more important then whatever. That's totally up to you and you're not "wrong" by any means.
Fuck you, R
I think Wetzel's obit is pretty fair.
It's not a matter of what I want to remember. I think it's too early for me to decide what I will remember about Paterno since I never had strong feelings about him as a coach or a person. Just realize that when people mourn or celebrate his life they are not mourning or celebrating child rape enablement, and it's pretty willfully retarded of you to make that assertion just to make a rhetorical point
We lost a child rape enabler. Damn shame.
Yeah that's definitely a good piece.
Now Jerry Sandusky? Burn that fucking dude, assuming this isn't some implausibly elaborate hoax
Oh totally. I almost hope he makes it to prison though.
I definitely hope he gets to prison.
Maybe without Paterno to rally around, the Penn State "community" will come to its fucking senses about this whole thing. But I'm sure not holding my breath.
Thank God we're not in Central PA anymore and will miss out on all the nauseating idolatry to come.
Death, cancer, sad stuff. I feel bad for HIS family.
But if the people in sycked's post are going to continue to represent the majority of his Penn State family?
I don't understand why you think it's out of bounds to take another jab at what Paterno did (or didn't do in this case) just because he died. The guy never meant anything to me when he was alive and his death has brought out all these derps that still think he was some sort of victim or some sort of injustice happened to Joe Paterno. Perhaps dancing on graves isn't the nice way to go about things, but just fawning over someone because he died and ignoring his transgressions isn't right either.
What if he does go to prison but it's a youth prison?
Two wrongs make a right I suppose
Guys, guys, guys...
Guys. Come on.
Who gives a shit?
We probably shouldnt give a shit either way. If the sports media wasnt trying to promote this agenda that paterno is still this great person it probably wouldnt bother me as much.
No, but 3 rights make a left.
My thoughts are that once you've cashed in everything you've got (let's face it, there's no such thing as a soul), you've more or less repaid what debts and wrongs you did during your life.
