I ran into one of the women that played Wang at a party last year.
Bulls blew a 15 point lead to honor Crumbs.
Ah, Krause dead haps...
Most of what you say is true. However, Krause is the guy that told Phil Jackson, "You can go 82 and fucking 0 and you are not coming back!". Also, Jerry bears responsibility for creating the Ames (Iowa State) Mafia since he hired his fishing buddy Tim fucking Floyd as his HC whose staff included .
Oh and sabr saying he got lighting in a bottle when he signed Rodman...
First of all, he didn't sign Rodman. He traded Will Purdue for him. And it was considered a big risk at the time because Rodman was now known as the guy who dyed his hair and was doing all these antics.
Purdue actually went on 670 to talk about the trade. He said they were coming off a lockout and Krause wouldn't talk to him directly about getting traded because he didn't want it to leak and Purdue found out about it in a Sam Smith article in the Trib. Krause was worried some other team would try and outbid him for Rodman so he made sure it never got out until it was done.
Speaking of Rodman and the 94-95 Spurs, that WCF series vs Houston changed the way people felt about Hakeem vs Robinson. Hakeem dominated him at both ends of the court.
For fuck sake, spell Perdue right.
Robinson was MVP that year. Hakeem came in 5th. He made Robinson look foolish every minute of that series.
And it unfortunately led to the narrative that David Robinson wasn't an all-time great when he absolutely was.
Definitely was, he just had the misfortune of going against a guy who was just that much better.
I knew he studied scouting under Krause, but obviously didn't know they were that close. I just wish the Magic were better with him there because that makes his case that much stronger for coming back here to take Gar's job. Assuming of course, Gar ever gets the boot.
Wishful thinking, no doubt.
Die, Jerry, die...?
Cheeses, he already did. Read the thread title, bro.
Dood looks like a young @chops
I've met chops numerous time, and I disagree.
Looks to me like Fuller doesn't like all the attention Cheeses is getting in the ToS.
Fuller will come back strong in 2017, god willing.
If that were true I wouldn't be voting for him, Noam Sane?
I have to say though that is a very odd comment for you to make...
As promised, my article on Jerry Krause:
Shows how much times have changed. You couldn't hire some baseball scout to be a NBA GM all of a sudden. Just like a NBA GM probably couldn't get away with hiring a CBA coach with no prior head coaching experience. The closest I can think of is Trestman to the Bears but Trestman was a legit NFL OC for years.
Yes Paul DePodesta got hired by the Browns but he's not the GM, he's their chief strategy office and plus he was a GM and a baseball exec for many years.
I guess you could say that FedEx....delivers.
