I'm pissed I can't make it to this game. We went a couple of years ago it was a fun time. The Sox have the "bigger" names this year. #tobyhall
+1 and I just decided to go. Need to be in Wooddale at 7 anyway, figure may as well make a day of it.
Groupon has tickets for $15 and 2 for $25.
Event was fun. Dye won the Home Run Derby, with 7 on 10 swings.
Freddy was having issues how the slow pitch strike zone worked and kept arguing with the ump. They should've had some of the guys mic'ed up, would've made it a lot more funny.
Is this former Sox phenom Brian N. Anderson?!
Roast was fake, FWIW. Never happened.
Fake News #SAD
I was going to roast him for thinking he was the next Willie Mays. Or was that us that thought he was the next Willie Mays.
Either way, free BA.
He had the talent but when Ozzie came out and said BA was always partying at staying out until 3 am, that made a lot of sense.
BA also said that on his interview with redlineradio. Didn't put in the time
The issue was Ozzie—instead of realizing the BA had value in the field and that the team didn't need extra punch in its lineup—benched BA for the likes of Darin Erstad and Rob Mackowiak which cost the team runs in the field.
His value in fielding his position would have more than made up for his punchless offense and would have won them more games.
Toby Hall, Swisher, Bourgeois, Griffey... what a weird fucking team.
Still gives me chills.
Been all downhill from there
was at the game with the damn zoso and the damn karen
Watched it at the Fox & Hound in the very mean streets of Aurora
Was getting the damn slice of damn pizza when Thome jacked his
Took almost 3 innings to get food.
Getting up to get food during a game like that?
Was randomly in town and went to 2 game against the Indians the prior weekend, both big Ls. Was so superstitious I turned down free tickets to that one and didn’t watch, only checked in online for updates.
Then once we got in I had such low expectations and felt so accomplished that the team even made the playoffs that I didn’t watch a single inning. Great fan.
I remember standing in my room watching the end of that game. My best friend was over and had been gloating about the Cubs making the playoffs like a week earlier.
That year was the second time in history that the Cubs and Sox both made the playoffs in the same year.
Had a group project and the dumb bitch in my group didn't want to change the meeting.
Only watched the final 3 outs
Was there. Real fan.
I watched at a wings place in Bloomington with my flag football reffing buddy, a SOX fan from Ft. Wayne, after our shift. Was supposed to play in a game after my shift ended and said
Got there in the 3rd inning, IIRC.
To be fair, that's a pretty rough strip mall.
I don't remember where I was but I do recall being all 'SEE THIS IS WHAT BA CAN DO!" A watershed moment in the Free Brian Anderson movement and little did we know, the last gasp of actual relevance for the White Sox.
Big. Game. JAMES!
Best Buy across the parking lot is where all the thugs be hanging out
Watched it in my friends den.
we had russians visiting for project work, they went out to a fancy dinner that night. i told them i had plans.
Still have the solid black rally towels they gave out that game. Most metal baseball experience of the damn life. Whole stadium was pretty much from the anthem on.
