    So, it's 7 for concussions, 10, 30 and 60 DL?

Wait, I thought it was OK now since it didn't cost the Cubs the WS. I can't keep up with it.

I thought they would something with roster sizes, but I guess the qualifying offer and international money pool were the two big ones this time around.

Chapman to the Yankees. Hopefully Jansen signs soon and the market for Robertson opens up.

Could have been a God here... Whatever extra money he got in STL he would have made up in endorsements here in Chicago...

Cubs weren't going to give him anywhere close to 5 years. Probably another similar 2 year deal at best.

I hate this "he'll make up the difference in endorsements" bullshit. Short of worldwide star athletes, I highly doubt any sort of endorsement money can make up for taking a bad contract. Speaking of which, those same guys making a killing are taking nothing less than top dollar to compete.

I'm thinking about those massive shoe deals in the NBA and soccer stars like Messi.

Just think of the money Fowler could pull in from Binny's and Al's Beef endorsements!!!

Yeah what companies are lining up to give Dexter Fowler some sort of nationwide endorsement deal

Probably some RF "analyst" like Darren Rovell perpetuating this myth.

    This must END!

Magglio Ordonez had some sort of local Chevy commercial in 2004. Maybe Dexter's chasing that dragon.

Cubs going to get an enormous discount on Arrieta and Bryant with all that endorsement money coming in right now.

Maybe I'm missing where the Cubs get the benefit of the players national campaigns? Also Arrieta scares me on any deal longer than 3 years.

That's the point, baseball players don't have national endorsement deal appeal, not the level of NBA and NFL. Trout is the best player in the game and he has Subway and... I don't probably a shoe company

Missed that... And you're correct, baseball doesn't have a national appeal in that several players have that cross market

The Red Sox are holding their breath after sending in key lefty David Price for an MRI, as Jim Bowden of ESPN.com reports (Twitter links). For now, Price will just be held out of his next scheduled start while he heads for a second opinion.

The broader outlook is not known, but manager John Farrell says there is concern given the degree of soreness Price is experiencing. And while it’s far from clear whether there’s reason yet to believe he could be headed for surgery, the veteran lefty is slated to see one of the game’s foremost Tommy John experts — either Dr. James Andrews or Dr. Neal ElAttrache — for his second opinion, per Tim Britton of the Providence Journal (via Twitter).

Nope, I don't want better.. I want suckage.. if the Sox win more than 65 games this year it's a failed season for rebuilding. There should be ZERO reasons to win this year.
