Two of the bigger free agents for this offseason have started to have their contract proposals floated to the media. Robinson Cano apparently started negotiations asking for 10 years and 300 million from the Yankees. Shin Soo-Choo is rumored to be hoping to get $100 million or more over 6-7 years. Obviously the Sox will have no part in the Cano bidding, but should they get in on Choo at that price? The career .389 OBP and 134 OPS+ is not bad looking, and he's only 31 so hopefully he's got some years left in him. But still, that's a big number to be looking at.
